![]() It is going to be about having the right mind set when going into the deep end on a game like this. We have gotten very used to having do it all type of classes and builds, and constant gratification in games, and this really isn't the game that will pander to all of the needs that many gamers now have. If your class or build cannot take out any other classes in 1 v 1 combat that is not a concern for balance in this game. They want the Realms class structure to be balanced against the other realms classes as a whole which will mean that some characters are going to be much weaker when they aren't in a group. They do not want instant gib assassin classes, or ultra OP FOTM 1 on 1 balancing. These are not things that are necessarily good or bad for the genre, but that is what the core of players want here for the game. No gear treadmills and no progression PVE and linear questing are things that will turn players off. Your gear breaking and needing to find a crafter or making a dedicated crafter are the types of things that will just turn people off from the start. There will be too many annoying elements that new players will hate tbh. The target audience are the people that are looking for an older style MMO RvR game with a more updated engine. The people that do not play games because of lower subscriber counts are definitely not part of the target audience. One thing they are not promising though is that this is going to be an ultra popular game. It is being designed for a very niche audience of players, and it will succeed in its own right if they deliver on their promises. What a lot of people need to understand is that this is a game that is not really being designed to be a world beater. ![]() There will be streamers, but the glory hounds will drop out really quick if the game doesn't hit large subscriber numbers as they only care about views. Slower more old school combat, and much heavier focus on team play whether small scale or large. I do not think Kungen or many big name streamers will touch it to be honest. I just don't agree that subscription based model is the answer. I just wanted to share because believe it or not im wanting Camelot Unchained to be successful and be enjoyed by the masses. This is just my opinion and you are welcome to have yours. Honestly, don't want to get anyone heated. The developers of camalot unchained also have to take into count that once there game releases their will probably be private game servers on xtremetop100 for people that don't want to pay a sub fee which is another reason not to make the game subscription based. Now im not sure how many players play the competition aka diablo 3, but pretty sure path of exile is beating diablo 3 in player base and revenue. This is just one example of a free to play model beating a subscription model. ![]() Just from steam alone path of exile averages 28,679.6 players in 2017. ![]() With a free to play model the player can choose when they want to invest in the game & developers, like take path of exile for example its very very popular right now reaching #6 on the steam free to play chart. ![]() Subscription model is dead, people don't want to pay monthly fee's and then have to buy ingame cosmetics or w.e is going to be in the paid shop once its fully released. If the devs decide to go with the subscription model they will not have as big of player base. *cough*, they have 7 races attached to this realm with 10 classes, then there’s the second realm called and forgive my pronunciation, Tuatha De Danann, which is a realm at once with nature, as they prance around forests naked worshiping nature and stuff.I've been interested in this game for awhile and heard around it was going to be f2p, but someone told me its now going to be sub based, which is dumb as the free to play model is expanding and is wiping out any subscription based game currently. so I would probably choose this realm… you know #Hero and all that. The first realm having the faction Arthurian’s, which are set in the realm of King Arthur and are embodiment of honesty righteousness and strength. There are 3 realms, each with different races & unique classes to the realm. If becoming a crafter isn’t your thing however you can participate in Realm v realm combat, with Camelot Unchained realm system. Not only that but in Camelot Unchained has a player driven economy, and will require you to get aid from players with proficiency in crafting in order to obtain highly leveled crafted gear, or become a crafter yourself and sell your trade to others. Camelot Unchained is an MMORPG in which you can actually shape the world around you by your actions within the game. Now, if you’re unfamiliar with Camelot Unchained it’s a western MMORPG, in the vain of older styled western games. ![]()
